One of the interesting things in this chapter is the mourning that occurred when Lucifer, son of the morning, fell and became Satan. He was our brother and his fall had to have been painful for us to bear, especially if that was the first time we had experienced or seen rebellion against the Father.
His pride and lust for glory and power were the key to his undoing. The ironic thing is that when we seek only to glorify the Father, we will have far more happiness and even power and glory of our own than we could possibly imagine. The key is not to seek after our own. We must seek only to glorify the Father and that is where true happiness lies. Not in the emptiness that is found in the glory of the world.

Purpose
I have read and read and read the scriptures in my life. I truly have a testimony of the divinity of the Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price, and the New and Old Testaments of the Bible. Now, I am attempting to do more than just read, skimming over the top. I want to feast on the words of Christ that I may become more like Him and find the joy in this life that He has promised. There will be days that I will have to simply read. Hopefully there will be more days that I get to sit down and really dig deep- searching, pondering, and praying. Either way, my goal is to be sure to be in the scriptures, no matter what, every single day. Post or no post- I will make time for Heavenly Father in my life by spending time in the scriptures every single day.
